Elke Von Freudenberg [ Blog ]: Keep those makeup brushes clean!

Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap has to be the best soap to use for cleaning brushes. I've used clarifying shampoos, baby shampoo, and several different types of soap. This sucks everything out of your brushes in a jiffy and leaves them smelling fresh. The tea tree version is known for it's antiseptic properties, and I love the way the almond makes my brushes smell. Every few washings, I condition with a spray on, leave in conditioner.

Saw a demonstration for a brush cleaner at a makeup artist trade show. I was so impressed I bought some. I will be buying this stuff again when I run out. Here is the best price I found for it
